''Recording'', ''Technocracy'' or ''Loop'' are some of the works that make up MILLENNIUM, an exhibition where three-dimensional works transcend the simple act of collage and immerse us in the complexity of social, urban and technological relations . Each piece is a visual synthesis of the hidden tensions that are part of our daily lives.
Through the fusion between matter and narrative, we are confronted with the fragmentation of reality, where every piece of matter is a contradiction of our own collective existence. Structures that crumble before our eyes, revealing the fissures and cracks that are nothing more than our own social, political and emotional rupture.
The city, as the primordial setting for human interactions, emerges as the silent protagonist of these compositions that blur between reality and fiction. Streets, buildings and monuments are deconstructed and reconstructed in a game of forms and meanings, reflecting the chaotic and confusing dynamics of large urban centers – the megapolis – where we are confronted with a paradoxical normality of a present that insists on disappearing under the weight of its own excess, collapsing in on itself.
MILLENNIUM is a visual echo of the World, it is a distorted mirror of our own human condition in a time of great uncertainty and rapid transformation.
MILLENNIUM is a reflection of our present, which challenges us to question, reflect and act on our future, at the beginning of a millennium that began only yesterday.
PT | Estruturas em desintegração, partidas, rachadas, frágeis. Fragmentos de matéria fundem-se estruturalmente com narrativas poéticas e provocativas de um Mundo e de uma sociedade à beira da rutura.
‘’Recording’’, ‘’Tecnocracia’’ ou ‘’Loop’’ são algumas das obras que compõem MILLENNIUM, uma exposição onde as obras tridimensionais transcendem o simples ato da colagem e nos fazem mergulhar na complexidade das relações sociais, urbanas e tecnológicas. Cada peça é uma síntese visual das tensões ocultas que fazem parte do nosso quotidiano.
Através da fusão entre a matéria e a narrativa, somos confrontados com a fragmentação da realidade, onde cada pedaço de matéria é uma contradição da nossa própria existência coletiva. Estruturas que se desmoronam diante dos nossos olhos, revelando as fissuras e rachadelas que mais não são do que a nossa própria rutura social, política e emocional.
A cidade, enquanto cenário primordial das interações humanas, emerge como protagonista silenciosa destas composições que se confundem entre a realidade e a ficção. Ruas, prédios e monumentos são desconstruídos e reconstruídos num jogo de formas e significados, refletindo a dinâmica caótica e confusa dos grandes centros urbanos – a megapolis – onde somos confrontados com uma normalidade paradoxal de um presente que teima em desaparecer sob o peso do seu próprio excesso, colapsando sobre si mesmo.
MILLENNIUM é um eco visual do Mundo, é um espelho distorcido da nossa própria condição humana num tempo de grandes incertezas e rápidas transformações.
MILLENNIUM é um reflexo do nosso presente, que nos desafia a questionar, refletir e agir sobre o nosso futuro, num início de milénio que começou apenas ontem.
